Making a smoothie that’s good for you, tastes like a milkshake, AND is great for boosting your fertility is one of the easiest things in the world.
In fact, it’s so easy a baby can do it.
I prove it in this video. Okay, my son Charlie, at age 3 isn’t a baby, but he’s been helping me make smoothies for at least a year.

Charlie not only helps me make them, he helps me drink them. He LOVES them so much he asks for them! He’s gotten so used to having a green smoothie at breakfast that last week when I was running behind 2 mornings in a row and didn’t have time to make them, Charlie expressed his utter dismay at not having his morning smoothie.
I especially love seeing my kid drink green smoothies – concoctions containing leafy greens – because it means he’s getting the vitamins and minerals he needs to grow, but also because these beverages were such a big part of my journey to bring him into my life. I began drinking green smoothies in the winter of 2012 because I wanted to get healthier. Perhaps not-so-coincidentally, I began trying to conceive that winter also.
Green smoothies are full of the nutrients we need to balance our hormones, regulate our cycles and normalize our ovulation. Issues with ovulation and hormone imbalance are the leading cause of female infertility.
Now, I try to drink a smoothie every day. Charlie’s not the only who one who gets bummed in the absence of a morning smoothie.
This video was part of my 10-Day Fertility Smoothie Challenge that I hosted this past July. During the 10 days more than 100 women from all over the world cranked up their blenders and made some of my green smoothie recipes. We also hung out together on Facebook, chatted about green smoothies and how they can help boost our fertility, and shared pictures of our creations.
If you didn’t get to participate in the challenge but would like to try to recipes hit me up for my free ebook, 21 Days of Fertility Boosting Smoothies!
